John Galloway joined Greening Forward’s Board of Advisors in 2021 after discovering that he and Charles shared a similar career arc in corporate sustainability advising. John has worked in this field since before “sustainability was even a term we used” :) and has long had an interest in working with students and young professionals to develop their climate skillsets and envision their future careers. Most recently he’s been advising participants in the Terra.do “Learning for Action” climate “upskilling” cohorts, has worked with elementary and high school students on various clean energy education programs, and has volunteered as a youth mentor. John has a long history of leading sustainability initiatives and strategic planning across a wide range of industry sectors and types of organizations, supporting large organizations both in-house and as a consultant. He completed the Energy and Resources program at University of California, Berkeley, and a Power Systems Engineering program at Georgia Institute of Technology.
